Toronto Public Library Event, with Kathleen Wynne

What a treat it was to speak with former Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne, answering questions submitted by kids!

On September 16, the Toronto Public Library hosted a special event for kids and classes in the Toronto area about Govern Like a Girl. We had dozens of classes join in (up to 77!). Students were invited to submit questions in advance, and five lucky questions were chosen through the contest.

The questions were awesome. Térèse asked about how to help people with disabilities and in the LGBTQ+ communities feel comfortable in governing roles. Monica asked about what barriers women experience in politics. Miss Carey's Grade 4 virtual class asked what youth can to do participate in politics.

Thank you to the Toronto Public Library and Second Story Press teams for making this event happen! You can watch it online until September 30 at:
